Budget Consultations
Are you going through a difficult financial situation? Do you have a project such as buying a house or continuing your studies? Or do you simply want to learn how to plan your budget? Call us to make an appointment for a budget consultation.
Our budget advisers can help you put your finances in order. During the budget consultation, they will draw up a portrait of your financial situation by clarifying the solutions available to you for balancing your income and your expenses. They will also help you to carefully define your short and long-term objectives, then establish your priorities.
You are eligible for a budget consultation if you live within the territory bounded by Guy Street and Côtes-des-Neiges (West), Pie IX Boulevard (East), Van Horne Avenue and Rosemont Boulevard (North) and the St. Lawrence River (South). If you live outside this territory, contact the ACEF in your neighbourhood or area for information (in french only).
To help you to set up your budget, we provide you with a budget table (in french only). Start by entering your income in the appropriate boxes, then enter all your expenditures. Don’t forget that certain expenditures are annual (registration, insurance, etc). To make sure you are not taken by surprise when the payment is due, you need to put some money aside, in an account reserved for this purpose, for example. Decide how often you want to do so and calculate the amount of each of your payments. Then enter these amounts in the appropriate columns.
