Commercial Practices

Can a contract be concluded even if I never signed anything?
Yes. Under the terms of the Civil Code of Quebec, you conclude a contract with a merchant even if you do not sign anything and there is no written agreement. This is what is called a verbal contract. Whether it is verbal or written, a contract must be respected. Contrary to popular belief, one cannot cancel a contract in the10 days following conclusion (except if it was concluded with an itinerant retailer). In addition, if you sign a contract, make sure you read all the clauses it contains very carefully, because by signing it, you undertook to adhere to it.
