Basic banking services

The bank refused to open an account for reasons that don’t seem valid to me. What can I do?
Discuss your problem with a representative of your financial institution, or with its ombudsman (your branch should give you the telephone number). If your steps did not bear fruit, address yourself to the Ombudsman of Banking Services and Investments (1 888 451-4519).

Note: By law, the bank must provide the consumer with a letter giving the grounds for its refusal.
