Beware: Private ATMs
The automatic teller machine at your local convenience store has recently been replaced by a machine owned by a private company. The owner of your favourite restaurant no longer accepts your debit card; instead, he invites his customers to withdraw money from the private ATM located at the entrance. In both cases, the formula is unfavorable for consumers. These are only some of the consequences of the advent of private ATMs. And they may well get worse.
