Class Action

Locatel
On May 3, 1999, we submitted a request for authorization to file a Class Action lawsuit against Locatel. In our opinion, Locatel’s contracts contain abusive clauses that are contrary to the Consumer Protection Act, and there is a considerable difference between the value of the furniture offered by Locatel and the prices consumers are asked to pay when they wish to buy them. The purpose of the Class Action is to compensate aggrieved consumers.

Members
You probably are a member if, since May 3, 1996, you bought furniture from Locatel and paid too high a price for it.

Progress of the Class Action
The Class Action was authorized on December 23, 1999.
