Class Action

Columbia and Sony Music Entertainment (delivery fees)
In April 2002, we filed a Class Action lawsuit against Columbia House (Music Club) and Sony Music Entertainment. The purpose of the Class Action is to reimburse excessive late charges and handling and shipping costs. According to the Consumer Protection Act, interest can only be charged to consumers who do not respect their obligations. In addition, according to Option consommateurs, the handling and shipping costs are abusive, and the advertising in this regard is misleading. The purpose of the Class Action is to compensate aggrieved consumers.

Members
You are a member of the Class Action if, since June 19, 1993, you became a member of the Columbia House Music Club and you bought items such as cassettes or compact disks on which you paid interest charges, or abusive handling and shipping costs.

Progress of the Class Action

We are awaiting the hearing to authorize the Class Action.
