Class Action
Fosamax
In May 2007, we brought a class action against Merck Frosst, the manufacturer of Fosamax.
This medication has been linked to cases of osteonecrosis of the jaw, an extremely painful condition which consists of the decomposition and death of the jaw bones.
Fosamax is prescribed for menopausal women, and in some cases men, to prevent and treat osteoperosis. Fosamax is also prescribed to treat and prevent cortisone-induced osteoperosis in both men and women. Finally, this medication is also prescribed to treat Paget’s disease. This medication is used to regulate bone metabolism and to increase bone mineral density so as to reduce the risk of fractures.
Members
You are a member of the class action if you, or one of your close relatives, suffered damage due to consumption of Fosamax (alendronate sodium).
Progress of the Class Action
We are awaiting the hearing to authorise Class Action.
Do you live in Quebec and did you or one of your close relatives purchase and consume this medication? If so, then we suggest that you keep the proof of your prescription
