Maple Leaf (risk of Listeria contamination)
Description
On August 27, 2008, we filed a motion to authorize a class action suit in Quebec against Maple Leaf Foods regarding meat products manufactured between January 1 and August 31, 2008 that were recalled owing a risk of contamination by Listeria.

These are generally products manufactured at Maple Leaf Establishment 97B in Toronto, under the brand names: Artisan Collection, Best Value, Bittners, Bittners/Schneiders, Best Value, Boston Pizza, Burns, Campfire, Compliments, Coorsh, Country Morning, Equality, Harmonie, Hickory Farms, Higrade, Kirkland Signature, Maple Leaf, Mayfair, McDonalds, Mitchell's, NoName, Olympic Fine Meats, Overlander, Parma, Pizza Nova, Safeway, Schneiders, Shopsys, Swift, The Butcher's Cut, Tim Horton's (produced for MLF), Western Family and Westfair.
Members
People (and their families) who consumed the recalled foodstuffs and suffered physical or psychological harm as a result of this consumption.

Progress to date
On April 2, 2009, the Quebec Superior Court approved the settlement reached on December 17, 2008.
The members of the class action have until November 2, 2009 to file their claims with the Group Bruneau Inc. claims manager:
